Branding
Social Media
An ongoing project of mine is rebranding ‘sokaty’ my mum’s fashion restyling and tailoring business. When I began redesigning the brand identity, I created a mood board using images of similar brands and logos she liked, which were bold with clean typography and a signature brand colour.
Her previous logo used dark navy-blue typography with a white secondary colour. I expanded this by playing on the ‘bridal’ side of the business and including a lavender shade to convey elegance. I chose two typefaces, the main being a clean sans serif and the second being a serif in italics which can be used for the bridal services. Both the colours and type have been designed to work together to form a cohesive brand identity which can be used across a variety of touchpoints.
As part of this project, I have created business cards, labels for the garments and social media templates which I am continuing to expand when needed. I love working on a real project and being able to see my designs come to life through my mum’s work.
